I attended on December 18, 2018 "Under the Radar" Champagne Maker Series hosted by The Panel Wine Lounge in Sonoma. I met Clémence Lelarge who was pouring 3 champagnes of her portfolio. She was a lovely and engaging person who introduced these wines to a curious and enthusiastic crowd. I enjoyed chatting with Clémence about her company and champagnes, particularly the "Tradition Extra Brut" which was vibrant, bright with light notes of brioche and citrus.
About Champagne Lelarge-Pugeot
The Lelarge family owned their first parcels in 1799, after Pierre-Henri Lelarge, married Madeleine Dravigny, the daughter of a winegrower family in Vrigny. Throughout many generations, the descendants of Pierre-Henri shared their commitment to the terroir of Champagne and the work of vigneron. The quality of the wine starts in the vineyard. To produce wines of quality and with character, it is vital to respect the life in the soil!
This is why, over the last 20 years, step by step, they moved towards organic and bio-dynamic farming. Visit their website at www.champagnelelarge-pugeot.com.
